SV	Want het was geschied, als David in Edom was, toen Joab, de krijgsoverste, optoog, om de verslagenen te begraven, dat hij al wat mannelijk was in Edom sloeg;
WLC	וַיְהִ֗י בִּֽהְיֹ֤ות דָּוִד֙ אֶת־אֱדֹ֔ום בַּעֲלֹ֗ות יֹואָב֙ שַׂ֣ר הַצָּבָ֔א לְקַבֵּ֖ר אֶת־הַחֲלָלִ֑ים וַיַּ֥ךְ כָּל־זָכָ֖ר בֶּאֱדֹֽום׃
Trans.	wayəhî bihəywōṯ dāwiḏ ’eṯ-’ĕḏwōm b^a‘ălwōṯ ywō’āḇ śar haṣṣāḇā’ ləqabēr ’eṯ-h^aḥălālîm wayyaḵə kāl-zāḵār be’ĕḏwōm:

AC	טו ויהי בהיות דוד את אדום בעלות יואב שר הצבא לקבר את החללים ויך כל זכר באדום
ASV	For it came to pass, when David was in Edom, and Joab the captain of the host was gone up to bury the slain, and had smitten every male in Edom
BE	And when David had sent destruction on Edom, and Joab, the captain of the army, had gone to put the dead into the earth, and had put to death every male in Edom;
